🌊 Origin & Quality

Harvested off the islands of Ibiza and Formentera in the Mediterranean, in Natura 2000 and UNESCO protected areas. Captured at 5 m depth in the open sea, micro-filtered at 4-5°C, rigorous controls ensuring the absence of pollutants, hydrocarbons, microplastics, and heavy metals.

🌊 How is this seawater harvested?

The company Ibiza & Formentera Agua de Mar was founded by Alfonso and David following health problems that were greatly improved thanks to marine plasma. They therefore pay very particular attention to the quality of this seawater and respect the biological and subtle phenomena of water as much as possible to keep all its trace elements, minerals and beneficial elements intact.

Harvesting in the open sea far from beaches and overly populated areas, capture at 5 m depth in areas of plankton concentration, no harvesting in summer when it is too hot... are some of the very precise parameters they follow for each harvest.
The water is then micro-filtered between 4 and 5°C (when the density is best) then left to rest before being bottled.

Extensive checks are carried out on each batch to guarantee water free of pollutants, hydrocarbons, microplastics, heavy metals or pathogens.

🌊 Where is this seawater harvested?

The islands of Ibiza and Formentera were not chosen by chance for marine plasma harvesting. It is important that the water comes from the Mediterranean Sea, as it is the only ecosystem combining these advantages:
- Posidonia seagrass beds (oxygen production and CO2 capture)
- Natura 2000, UNESCO protected areas and "marine protected areas"
- very restrictive railway regulations (products used and traffic)
- no nuclear pollution

Harvesting takes place mainly on the west coast of Ibiza, which is the richest area for Posidonia seagrass, plankton and therefore marine life, and where marine currents keep the seawater perfectly clean.
