Muscle tension, overheating, need for relaxation?
After an intense session or sustained exertion, our ready-to-use After-Exertion Clay can be applied directly to the affected areas: limbs, back, or shoulders.
Its flexible and smooth texture facilitates poultice application and ensures even coverage, promoting both muscle relaxation and a pleasant cooling sensation.
Thanks to its natural formulation, it aids recovery by providing comfort and well-being, while helping to preserve the flexibility and elasticity of muscles, tendons, and joints.
This clay also finds its place in the routine of horses with long-standing sensitivities, related to a past sporting career or regular activity.
Its refreshing and soothing effect supports a return to calm and extends the relaxation phase after exertion.
Instructions for use
- Apply a uniform layer of clay to the desired area, always smoothing in the direction of the hair.
- Allow to air dry naturally, without covering, to ensure proper evaporation and optimal active ingredient action.
- Once the clay is dry, remove it with a soft brush or simply rinse with clean water.
If you need to cover the area (blanket, bandages), choose light and breathable materials to avoid affecting the product's effectiveness or blocking air circulation.
Frequency of application
After sustained exertion or in cases of significant stress
Apply the clay immediately after activity, or up to two to three times a day depending on the horse's needs and sensitivity.
It helps promote recovery and reduce post-exertion stiffness.
For regular maintenance
One to two applications per week are sufficient to maintain muscle flexibility and comfort in the affected areas.
Complementary care routine
Alternatively, After-Exertion Oil can complement the action of the After-Exertion Clay, particularly the day after a poultice or after moderate exertion. It integrates ideally into a holistic approach to locomotor well-being.
For comprehensive support, combining it with the Circulatory Comfort Complementary Feed can be considered: either as a one-off dose after intense exertion or as a course during periods of sustained work.
This synergy between internal and external care optimizes the horse's recovery and daily comfort.
Detailed composition
Illite Clay
Rich in trace elements, it is known for its adsorbing and remineralizing properties. It helps relieve stressed muscle, tendon, and joint areas after exertion.
Kaolinite Clay
Very gentle, it provides a creamy and uniform texture to the poultice. It helps soothe the skin while respecting sensitive areas.
Montmorillonite Clay
Naturally remineralizing, it improves the hold and texture of the poultice, while enhancing its absorbent power. It thus promotes the elimination of excess and supports tissue recovery.
Peppermint essential oil
Provides an immediate sensation of freshness, ideal for soothing overheating after exertion.
Wintergreen essential oil
Renowned for its comforting and relaxing properties, it supports muscle recovery and contributes to joint well-being.
Lavender essential oil
