Format

In cases of marked hoof sensitivity, whether after prolonged exertion, a shoeing change, or during a transition to barefoot, our Sensitive Hoof Clay can be used as a poultice to provide localized and soothing care. Its creamy texture adheres effectively to the application area, allowing for prolonged contact with the affected tissues. It helps provide comfort to horses prone to joint, tendon, or ligament stress, and naturally integrates into recovery routines or support during shoe removal.

Instructions for use

1. If necessary, clean the hoof to remove impurities.

2. Apply a layer of clay paste to the sole, bulbs, coronary band, and pastern, extending up to the fetlock.

3. Allow to air dry naturally.

4. Remove once dry with a soft brush or by rinsing with water.
In case of flat soles, hold the paste in place with a cohesive bandage.

Frequency of application

During periods of increased sensitivity
Daily application, or even several times a day if needed, can be considered depending on the hoof's condition.

For maintenance or prolonged support
Applying every two to three days helps prolong comfort and support the foot's return to balance.

Complementary care routine
Sensitive Hoof Clay can be used alternately with Sensitive Hoof Oil, to combine deep care with adapted daily protection.

Detailed composition:

Illite Clay
Naturally rich in minerals, illite helps absorb excess moisture while providing a soothing sensation on stressed areas. It promotes the maintenance of a dry and healthy environment for the hoof.

Kaolinite Clay
Softer, kaolinite supports skin tolerance and improves the paste's texture, ensuring homogeneous application, even on the most sensitive areas.

Montmorillonite Clay
Valued for its absorbent and purifying capabilities, it complements the action of other clays by providing structure, freshness, and hold to the preparation.

Peppermint essential oil
Provides an immediate sensation of freshness and helps soothe hooves heated after exertion.

Patchouli essential oil
Known for its balancing and strengthening properties, it helps restore the hoof's natural balance and strengthen its resistance.
